When the iPhone 8 was originally introduced, the A13 Bionic chip within its shell was quite strong. It contained the same chip as the iPhone 11. Now that the 2022 version has surpassed the iPhone 13 in terms of 15.8 trillion operations per second computational power.
The A15 Bionic processor’s wider capabilities, as well as iOS 15’s complete functionality, including sophisticated camera modes and Live Text, make it a game-changer. Even the iPhone 8 can’t do that.

The new SE will last longer and still allow wireless charging.
Connectivity
- 2020: No 5G, dual SIM card

The new iPhone SE may participate in this era of 5G connectivity. It’s simply a question of obtaining a signal from a 5G network.
iPhone SE 2022 price and release date
This is the most notable change. The starting price for 64GB has increased. The most costly SE now costs $579, as opposed to $549 before. The next most affordable iPhone is the $499 64GB iPhone 11.
- iPhone SE 2020: $399
- iPhone SE 2022: $429
But if you factor in the purchasing power of $399 in 2020, it equals a little over $429 today. In this sense, the iPhone SE has actually gotten somewhat more inexpensive. Preorders for the iPhone SE 2022 will start on March 11th. Pre-order here.
