11 bit studios, the creator of This War of Mine, has announced that it will be giving all revenue from its game to the Ukrainian Red Cross over the next seven days in order to assist war victims. The game’s developer emphasizes that This War of Mine is meant to highlight the horrors of large-scale conflict, and it supports Ukraine as Russia wages an invasion.

What is This War of Mine?

This War of Mine: The Little Ones is a unique perspective on the horrors of war through the eyes of a child. The game places you in command of a group of adults and youngsters trapped in a besieged metropolis who are fighting with basic needs. In the midst of conflict, The Little Ones examines not just the harshness of war but also how children, even in times of war, are still kids: they laugh and cry, have fun and see the world differently.

11 bit studios released the following statement:

“Today Russian military forces invaded the free country of Ukraine — our neighbors. As a Polish studio and creators of the globally recognized anti-war game This War of Mine, we stand against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Just words would be empty without a meaningful act though, and the timing is crucial, so the act is as follows: for the next seven days, all profits from This War of Mine, all its DLCs, on all stores and all platforms will go to a special fund. A week from now, this money will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross to directly support victims of war in Ukraine.”
