Today we Xiaomi unveiled the newest version of their Android skin on December 28th, which is MIUI 13. MIUI 13 offers interesting new features, including a privacy mode, new system font, wallpapers and more.
MIUI 13 new features
MIUI 13 is available and offers a number of performance boosts over its predecessor. Xiaomi says their newer Android interface, MIUI 13, has 15% fewer dropped frames in 3rd party apps over MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi’s apps are also performing better now.
Xiaomi claims that MIUI 13 has the best fluency than any other Android skin. It’s on par with expensive phones across the board. The latest update of MIUI includes new features like an improved user interface and a background-running ability for up to 14 apps.
Xiaomi has enhanced security for MIUI 13 with new features for the sake of end-user privacy and identity protection, the company has added tools like verification protection, privacy watermark, and fraud protection in this new version. We currently have no concrete knowledge of these features. But the privacy watermark tool will enable users to add watermarks on their own photos and images. This way other people won’t be able to use these photos without permission.
Xiaomi has also introduced a new system font called MiSans. You can download it for free to use for personal or commercial projects.
MIUI 13 comes with a range of new live wallpapers that are interactive and showcase different crystal formations. These images were taken using an 8K time-lapse polariscope microscope, according to the company.
You also get a bunch of new widgets in MIUI 13, such as “Super Countdown Day” and the “Water Measuring Cup.” The company revealed the new widgets during the launch event but we will surely learn more details in the days ahead.
