Xiaomi debuted in the foldable phone market with the MIX Fold last year, and now the company is ready to bring its successor, most likely to be called Xiaomi MIX Fold 2.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will come with an 8-inch display

The leaked information reported by Digital Chat Station on Weibo reveals some key information about the forthcoming foldable smartphone, including the chip that will power it.

According to the leak, we’ll see an 8-inch LTPO display with a 2.5K screen resolution on the MIX Fold 2 smartphone. The device’s screen is almost as big as a tablet, for example, the Apple iPad Mini offers an 8.3-inch display.

The next Xiaomi foldable will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Aside from the display specifications, it has been stated that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which will power most of this year’s premium smartphones.

It’s worth noting that the report does not expressly identify the device as being the MIX Fold 2, but because of its screen size, we think it is the next Xiaomi foldable.
