Now that CES 2022 is coming to an end, we have a good idea of what the laptop market will look like throughout the rest of the year. We’ve gathered the best laptops announcements from CES 2022.
Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3
Lenovo’s most fascinating news at CES 2022 is the ThinkBook Plus Gen 3. This notebook comes with a 17.3-inch display that offers 3072×1440 resolution. This Thinkbook will offer up to 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD and it will be powered by 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series processors.
There’s a smaller 8-inch display to the right of the keyboard, which has an 800×1280 that you can utilize with a stylus. Beginning in May 2022, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 will be available for $1,399.
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 7
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 is a refreshed gaming laptop that can be used for both work and gaming.
There are two versions of the notebook shown at CES 2022 with AMD Ryzen 6000-series and Intel 12th-gen Core i7-12700H processors.
It comes with a WQHD+ display with up to 240Hz adaptive refresh rate. This laptop offers up to 1TB PCle SSD (Gen4) storage. The graphics are powered with GeForce RTX 30 Series. The notebook’s body is made of an aluminum and magnesium metal mix, and the zero bump hinge is supposed to offer more protection.
The Intel version will be available in February at a price of $1,569. The AMD variant will be accessible in April, with a $1,429 price tag.
Asus ROG Flow Z13
The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet and it looks similar to Microsoft’s Surface. This is one of the best laptops we’ve seen at CES 2022. It comes with a detachable keyboard and a 13.4-inch touchscreen display. For those who opt for high performance, Flow Z13 offers an RTX 3080 external GPU.
The Z13 sports a 3840×2400 display and supports stylus input if you like to write notes or sketch on the tablet. This 2-in-1 offers up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H Processor, 16GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. Not to mention it comes with Windows 11.
Right now, there are no official announcements regarding its price but it will most likely be above $3000.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED
The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is a versatile computer with a foldable 17.3-inch touchscreen display that can be used as an expanded tablet, as well as a typical laptop with its detachable Bluetooth keyboard.
The Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED features a display with a resolution of 2560×1920. If you unfold it, the laptop offers a 12.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1280.
This way you will be able to use the bottom part of the display as an on-screen keyboard.

The Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition is part of the Earthion platform developed by Acer, which focuses on creating long-lasting devices. Vero’s frame is composed of 30% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR), and its box is made from 85% recycled paper.
This laptop features an Intel 11th-generation processor with Iris Xe graphics, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, up to 1TB storage, and a 15.6-inch 1080p HD display. It only weighs 3.96 pounds and has a battery life of up to 10 hours. There are no technical limitations to using this laptop, according to the manufacturer. You may upgrade the RAM and memory as well since removing the bottom laptop panel is said to be simple.
Starting in January 2022, the Aspire Vero will be available in China for ¥5,499. But there’s no official release date for the American market yet.
Acer Nitro 5
Acer’s Nitro 5 is one of our top recommendations for affordable gaming laptops, and it’s not only getting some new hardware, but it’s also receiving a fresh design.
The Nitro 5 will be available with up to a 12th-generation Intel Core i7 or an AMD Ryzen 6000-series processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU. Up to 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM may be installed in Intel versions. Those models with an AMD CPU will support up to 32GB DDR5-4800 RAM. Both offer a pair of M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD ports, with Intel versions having Thunderbolt 4 ports and AMD ones having USB 4.0 connections.
Both laptops have a 15.6-inch display available, with the Intel versions having a QHD 1440p 165Hz panel and the AMD ones featuring an FHD 1080p 144Hz or QHD 1440p 165Hz display option.
The 15.6-inch Intel version will be available in North America in March 2022 for $1,049.99, and the 17.3-inch variant will be accessible during April 2022 for $1,099.99. In April 2022, the AMD-based 15.6-inch variant will retail for $1,099.99, with the 17.3-inch version to follow in May 2022 for $1,149.99.
Dell XPS 13 Plus
The XPS 13 Plus shown at CES 2022 is an exceptional laptop and it might very well compete with MacBooks. The company added what it refers to as a “captive touch function row” above the XPS 13 Plus keyboard, which somewhat resembles the Macbook’s touch bar.
The XPS 13 Plus comes with Intel’s newest 12th-generation processors (particularly a 28W CPU) and Express Charge 2.0, which the manufacturer claims can charge the laptop up to 80% in less than an hour. This laptop comes with a 4K InfinityEdge display. But the Dell XPS 13 will not offer a headphone jack.
Dell’s XPS 13 Plus will offer either Windows 11 or Ubuntu 20.04 for the dev version. The laptop will be available in the second quarter of 2022. We don’t know its price yet.
HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook
HP’s Elite Dragonfly Chromebook is not only gorgeous and simple on the eyes, but it’s also the company’s first time adding a Chromebook to its Elite Dragonfly business devices line. HP’s Elite Dragonfly is the first-ever Chromebook to offer features like haptic feedback, Sure View Reflect privacy screen, and Intel’s vPro platform.
HP’s new offering will be powered by Intel 12th-gen chips and support up to 512GB storage and 32GB RAM. The company says that the laptop can charge from 0 to 90 in only 90 minutes. It’s a hybrid laptop with a touchscreen and a 360-degree hinge, making it a convertible 2-in-1.
It will be available in April 2022 but the price is still unknown.
MSI Stealth GS77
The MSI Stealth GS77 has an Intel Core i9-12900H CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, and 64GB DDR5 memory. The display options are as follows: 4K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440p resolution with 240Hz and 1080p resolution with 360Hz refresh rate. It has a bigger trackpad and larger keycaps, as well as SteelSeries’ signature per-key RGB illumination on the keyboard.
MSI‘s intriguing Phase-Change Liquid Metal Pad is applied to the Intel Core i9-12900H in its Stealth GS77 configurations. When the laptop’s temperature reaches 58°C (136°F), this pad transforms from a solid to a liquid form. This “makes the heat transfer more efficient and reliable than traditional thermal pastes and liquid metal solutions,” according to MSI.
MSI Stealth GS77 will be available for pre-order on January 25. Starting price is $1,799.
MSI Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six Extraction Edition
The Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six Extraction Edition can be ordered with up to an Intel Core i9-12900H, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, 64GB DDR4-3200 RAM and a 15.6-inch 1440p display with a 165Hz refresh rate. MSI will give away the Rainbow Six Extraction game, a special mouse, mousepad, and color box to those who purchase this special edition.
It has a $1,999 price tag but we don’t know when it will reach the market. Considering that Rainbow Six Extraction launches on January 20, we won’t wait for too long.
