Sony shows its new Vision-S SUV electric car concept at CES 2022

Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida unveiled the new Vision-S concept at CES 2022, it is a 7-seater SUV with upgraded capabilities.

Sony revealed a new electric concept car, a 7-seater SUV, at CES 2022. The CEO Kenichiro Yoshida unveiled the new Vision-S SUV prototype. We’ve witnessed a similar concept at CES 2020 and it looks like the company did not stop working on this electric car.

CES 2022: Sony Vision-S SUV electric car concept

According to a statement, Sony will examine whether it can enter the increasingly competitive electric vehicle market through a new operating company, Sony Mobility. As more drivers opt for electric cars, several vehicle manufacturers are entering the market with electric SUVs and trucks.

CES 2021 kicked off last year in Las Vegas virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they showed us a road testing video of VISION-S which you can watch here.

The company told at CES 2022 that its Vision-S SUV prototype has a panoramic screen in the front in addition to rear-seat displays. The car offers an immersive audio experience and gaming capabilities.

The Vision-S is currently being tested on public roads in Europe by Sony. There was no mention of battery type, driving distance, or charging methods.
