Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered Xiaomi flagships are presented, after weeks of rumors we finally know the full specs, prices and release date of Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X.
Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro specs
Xiaomi 12 comes with a smaller 6.28-inch display than 12 Pro’s 6.73-inch display and when compared to Mi 11 series predecessor both phones are a little bit smaller.
There’s a difference between the Xiaomi 12 and the 12 Pro in terms of display resolution. With the 12, the display is only 1080p, but with the 12 Pro, you get a 2K display. Both phones come with a 120Hz refresh rate, so they will surely offer a smooth experience.
Xiaomi 12 and the 12 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and they will offer up to 12GB RAM. Xiaomi 12 has a 4,500 mAh battery with 67W quick-charging support whereas 12 Pro comes equipped with a 4,600 mAh battery instead that offers a 67W quick-charging feature.
Not to mention, these phones will offer MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
Xiaomi 12 comes with a 50MP IMX766 main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide and a 5MP telemacro lens. The Pro model offers a 50MP IMX707 main camera in addition to a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto lens.
Xiaomi 12X specs
Xiaomi 12X is a cheaper option when compared to the standard and pro models. The size of the 12X model is the same as Xiaomi 12 but it will come equipped with a Snapdragon 870 chipset, and won’t support wireless charging.
Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X release date and price
The new series of Xiaomi is available in China, unfortunately, these phones won’t reach the US market.

- Xiaomi 12 (8GB+128GB): RMB 3,699 (around $580).
- Xiaomi 12 (12GB+256GB): RMB 4,399 (around $690).
- Xiaomi 12 Pro starts at 4,699 (around $735) and goes up to RMB 5,399 (around $845) depending on the version.
- Xiaomi 12X starts at RMB 3,199 (around $500).
