The company is expected to launch the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi X12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones on Dec. 28. A new report by Xiaomiui.net has revealed that the Xiaomi 12 family includes two ‘Lite’ branded models such as Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom. The publication has shared key details of these smartphones.
Xiaomi 12 Lite: Leaked specifications
The smartphone has been spotted on the IMEI database for its Indian variant. It has been codenamed as ‘Taoyao’ and has a shorter model number than the international version.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite could arrive with a 6.55-inch AMOLED Full HD display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device might sport a curved edge display like the Xiaomi Civi, which debuted in September this year. It might be powered by the Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 780G. Its rear-facing triple camera unit might include a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 lens. There might be a wide-angle lens and a macro camera.
Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom: Leaked specifications
The Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom is said to have a ‘Zijin’ codename and L9B shortened model number. It’s likely to arrive as a China-exclusive device, since only the Chinese variant of the phone with 2203129BC has been spotted in the IMEI database.
A leaked photo of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom shows a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with curved edges and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 780G processor and a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 triple camera setup with a wide-angle and a telephoto lens.
Xiaomi 12 Lite series will be similar to the Xiaomi Civi series. They will likely be launched in March. The lineup may come preinstalled with Android 12 based MIUI.
