Today we’ve learned that Xiaomi has prepared two new smartphones, Redmi 9i Sport and Redmi 9A Sport, and today we are going to talk about their specs, price and release date.

If you thought the Xiaomi Redmi 9 series was finished, you’d be mistaken. After launching several devices from the Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 family, Xiaomi has quietly introduced two new smartphones, the Redmi 9i Sport and Redmi 9A Sport, in India.

What’s more fascinating is that the firm has already launched the Redmi 10 series in the country, despite the fact that phones from the Redmi 9 series aren’t stopping anytime soon. These affordable devices are designed to be low-end smartphones. Don’t underestimate them though, because they have some interesting specs.

Redmi 9i Sport and Redmi 9A Sport specs

Redmi 9i Sport has identical specifications to the Redmi 9i while the Redmi 9A Sport is similar to the Redmi 9A.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi 9i Sport comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ display and a MediaTek Helio G25 processor. The phone is available with up to 128GB internal storage and 4GB RAM. Redmi 9i Sport has a 13MP main camera on the back and it comes with a 5MP front camera on the front.

The phone offers VoWiFi, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and a Micro-USB port for charging. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support. For those who love wired headphones, this device has a 3.5-mm headphone jack. The Redmi 9A Sport also comes with a P2i coating certificate. So it is not a water-resistant phone but splashes will be no problem at all.

On the other hand, Redmi 9A Spory offers a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD panel and comes with a MediaTek Helio G25 processor. It offers up to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity. There’s a single 13MP main camera on the back, not to mention the 5MP front camera. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support. Redmi 9A Sport also comes with a P2i coating certificate.

Redmi 9i Sport with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage will be sold for Rs. 8,799 (about $120) in India. You can opt for the version that has 4GB RAM+128GB storage if you are willing to pay Rs. 9,299 (about $125). There are three color options you can choose from: Carbon Black, Metallic Blue, and Coral Green. The phone is now available on Mi.com. We’ve shared the official prices for the Indian market, we don’t know when these phones will reach the rest of the world.

Redmi 9A Sport with 2GB RAM + 32GB storage will be sold for Rs. 7,999 (about $110). The phone is available in Carbon Black, Metallic Blue, and Coral Green. You can purchase this phone from Mi.com or Amazon. We’ve shared the official prices for the Indian market, we don’t know when these phones will reach the rest of the world.
