It’s been confirmed that the One UI 4 update, which is based on Android 12, will be released in September for Samsung Galaxy S21 family phones, in beta form. The announcement has been made by the firm itself in a South Korean user community forum, making it clear that this month will be when owners of the top of the range of its catalogue can test the new software.
This year, Google‘s beta testing program has taken a different tack than in prior years. Most Android 12 Beta builds were only accessible to Pixel phones. Previously, various models from other manufacturers had varying phases of Android update creation, but with the new software, things have altered somewhat and we’ve had to wait longer than planned.
How to test One UI 4 on my Samsung smartphone?
The brand’s reveal simply explains that the beta program will be accessible to some users via the Samsung Members app. In recent weeks, different versions of the Galaxy S21 have been spotted on GeekBench running Android 12, and it will be owners of the S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra who can try out Google’s One UI 4 beta based on this operating system.
Unfortunately, Samsung has not given us a date for the launch of One UI and the beta will initially be available in South Korea only. If you want to participate, you must wait for the “Join One UI beta program” banner to appear in the Samsung Members app.We believe that before the end of the year the update will reach to the users of S21 range first, and S20 and Note 20 family will follow later.
One UI 4 is the next major update of Samsung’s custom Android interface, One UI. This may be a somewhat different experience than previous versions, as it will contain only a few new features from Google. We don’t even know if Samsung will integrate the new Material You graphic style into its operating system because the Korean firm may want to provide a distinct user experience. Furthermore, One UI 4 will bring with it modifications and new capabilities.
In any case, the Galaxy S21 will be the first phone to utilize One UI 4 with an update that is expected to be released worldwide by the end of 2021.
