Telegram reaches version 8.0 and surely it comes with a lot of new features like unlimited live streams, flexible forwarding, jump to next channel. We are going to review all the new things about this update.

Telegram 8.0: All the new features

Unlimited live streams

Group video calls came to Telegram some time ago, as an evolution of voice chats. In version 8.0 there will be no limit to the number of viewers.

You can start a live broadcast in a Telegram channel or group and up to 30 people will be able to share their video and there is no limit on how many people can join as viewers.

Flexible forwarding

Telegram has allowed you to configure message forwarding privacy settings, but version 8.0 introduces an even easier and more handy option with a panel when forwarding a message.

To access these options you must tap on the Forward message preview that appears in the chat and you will be able to deselect messages you don’t desire to send or change the recipient if you tapped the wrong chat.

Jump to next channel

Many people follow the news from Telegram channels, events, and stuff. With this feature, you will be able to switch between channels without turning back to the chat list. When you reach the end of a channel, pull up to go to the next unread channel.

Trending stickers

There are a few changes related to stickers. For starters, trending stickers are displayed as a row at the top of the sticker directory, this way you will be able to find the best sticker for every possible situation.

Also, when you navigate between the different sticker packs you’ve saved, the preview becomes larger and the name of the pack is displayed. This makes it easier for you to find the sticker pack you’re looking for.

Other changes

Telegram 8.0 brings a few more animated emojis, 21 to be exact. In addition, the channels will show how many unread comments the thread you have opened has, just as it happens in chats.
