Gamescom 2021, one of the world’s largest video game events, will take place between August 25 and 27 and will feature the participation of very successful companies and developers, who will provide news about their most important titles. Here are all the details about the next edition of the gaming fair.
2021 has been and will continue to be a year full of news related to the video game industry. First, it was the turn to celebrate E3 2021 and, this time, the main event will be Gamescom 2021, which will be held in virtual format for the second consecutive year as a result of the pandemic generated by COVID-19.
When and where Gamescom 2021 will be held?
The event, which when held in person is held in Cologne, Germany, on this occasion will not be held in a specific location since it will be held virtually. It will take place between August 25 and 27, with an opening ceremony that will last approximately two hours and will be conducted by Geoff Keighley, organizer of The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest.

As confirmed by the same organization, several developers have already confirmed their presence at the big event. The great news is expected regarding titles already on the market as well as upcoming video games. Like last year, Nintendo will not participate in the fair since it will not be a physical event.

How to watch Gamescom 2021 and follow its live stream?
At the moment, the organization has not specified on which platforms the event will be officially streamed, although, on their official Twitter account, they announced that it will be seen “everywhere”. To date, the only scheduled live stream is Opening Night Live, the opening gala, which will be available on the game awards YouTube channel.
