How to change the PS4 background?
The first thing you have to do is to connect the USB drive to your PC and create a folder called “Images”. Inside the folder, we will have to add all the images that we want to use as a background.
You must keep in mind that the resolution of these images must be 1920×1080 for PS4. While it must be 3860×2160 for PS4 Pro.
After that, we must remove the USB from our computer. Then, follow these steps:
- Next, you will have to insert it into any USB port of the console and turn it on.
- After this, we will simply have to navigate through the menu.
- We will go to “Settings”.
- After that, we will choose “Themes“.
- Then we will go to “Select Theme”.
- Now we will have to choose “Customize”.
- The next option is “Select Image”.
- And finally, we choose “USB storage device”.
Next, we are going to have to choose the image we want to use as a background. We can preview all of the images we have on the USB drive:
- To do this we press the “X” button and confirm. We will be able to slightly edit the image by zooming it, cropping it, etc.
- Once you have the image perfectly framed all you have to do is press “X” to accept and return to the customize menu where you will find options such as “Make Function Area Dim” that will allow you to improve readability in the areas where text appears.
- If you use the “Preview” button you will be able to see how the background looks. If you like the result simply choose the “Apply” option.
This way you will have your custom PS4 background in a matter of minutes, you can use any kind of image.
