The legendary Nokia 6310 returns as a basic phone. Nokia lives between the past and the present. In addition to showing their new Nokia XR20 and Nokia C30, they are also bringing back one of their most legendary phones. 20 years later, the Nokia 6310 returns as a basic phone, as a ‘feature phone’ for those who need to call, listen to the radio and play ‘Snake’.

These are the features of the new Nokia 6310 in its 2021 version, with slightly curved lines and a more casual look compared to the original.

The legendary Nokia 6310 returns as a basic mobile

Reviewing the list of technical specifications of the Nokia 6310 is strange, as they are far from what we are used to seeing, including the entry range. It is a basic mobile, with a much cheaper price than cheap smartphones. We do not have Android, but a Nokia Series S30+ operating system that we could already see with the resurrection of the Nokia 3310.

We are offered an Opera Mini browser, along with applications such as Bing Search, Facebook, or the legendary snake game. We can also take photos and play music in MP3 format.

The Nokia 6310 comes with a 2.8-inch color screen with curved edges, a numeric keypad, and 16MB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB by microSD card. To drive the minimalist system we have 8MB of RAM. It also has an FM radio and a 0.3MP camera. As we can see, very basic specifications.

In terms of battery, the Nokia comes with 1,150 mAh that promises weeks of use both at rest and with occasional use. An autonomy that is reduced to 19 hours of talk time. On this point, the new Nokia does mimic the original very well.

Not so similar is the feel of the design. While the original Nokia 6310i had gray touches and a more “business” look, this new Nokia 6310 has a more casual look, with a more curved design and three fairly cheerful colors. The target audience has changed.

The buttons on the new Nokia 6310 are also larger. HMD Global, the company behind Nokia, presents this device as a basic mobile for those who want to go out for sports, only listen to the radio and have a complement in the car or backpack for when we need it.

Nokia 6310 price and release date

The Nokia 6310 will be available in three colors: dark green, yellow and black. Its official price is around $40 – $50 and it will be available globally.
