Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 lands as a huge curved premium gaming monitor. Completely unseating the current gaming monitor offerings, Samsung is once again updating its monitor lineup with the announcement and global launch of its new next-generation curved gaming monitor, the Odyssey Neo G9, enhanced with Quantum Mini LED technology to take the immersive gaming experience to the next level with the inclusion of technologies such as Quantum Matrix and Quantum HDR 2000.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 specs and features

As we were saying, this monitor will equip a huge 49-inch Mini LED-backlit panel and 1000R curvature, capable of up to 2,000 nits of brightness, with full matrix local dimming for the kind of deeper blacks and convincing HDR that the original didn’t quite achieve. Technologies that place the Odyssey Neo G9 somewhere in between its family of monitors and Samsung’s latest Neo QLED TVs, albeit on a slightly smaller scale.

Based on the high-performance technology powered by the current Odyssey G9, the Odyssey Neo G9 features an ultra-widescreen with a 32:9 aspect ratio offering Dual Quad High-Definition (DQHD of 5,120 × 1,440 pixels) with a fast 240 Hz refresh rate, and 1 ms response time. In addition, its immersive curvature is certified by TÜV Rheinland, giving it the additional Eye Comfort certificate.

Although of course, it could not miss a characteristic gamer touch of color to integrate this monitor into any configuration or gaming environment. And although its aesthetics focuses on a glossy white outer casing, with that elegant futuristic touch, we will also have a backlight with up to 52 colors and 5 lighting effects, in addition to the CoreSync function, which will allow us to customize its configuration with multiple color mode, for even greater immersion.

In terms of connectivity, the Odyssey Neo G9 features a DisplayPort 1.4 port with Adaptive Sync support, and HDMI 2.1 VRR with support for both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, providing dynamic and fluid scene-by-scene action for a revolutionary gaming experience.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 price and release date

Unfortunately, if the price of the current generation Odyssey was already quite high, the even greater luxury presented by this monitor will imply an even higher price, reaching $2,499.99. Thus, the South Korean company has already announced that the Odyssey Neo G9 will be available for pre-order from July 29, opening its worldwide availability on August 9.
