We are telling how to take a screenshot in your smartwatch with WearOS operating system in this article.

Although the Apple Watch dominates the smartwatch market, there are still many users who are betting on WearOS as their platform of choice.

WearOS has been “forgotten” by Google for many years, but now it seems to be back on everyone’s lips after Google I/O this year. Despite all this, many WearOS users still do not know how to perform simple actions such as taking a screenshot.

For this reason, if you are one of the latter, don’t worry, we will show you how to do it.

How to take a screenshot in WearOS?

While taking a screenshot on an Android phone is something very simple and that everyone knows, we can not say the same for WearOS because Google’s operating system for smartwatches does not have a direct way to take screenshots from the watch itself. Although that doesn’t mean they can’t be done.

The method for taking screenshots on WearOS is quite simple. The only thing we have to keep in mind is that they can not be made from the watch itself but we will need our Android smartphone for it.

  • The first thing to do is to select the screen we want to take a screenshot of on our Wear OS device.
  • Next, we will access the Wear OS app on our smartphone, always bearing in mind that the phone and watch must be connected via Bluetooth.
  • In the app, the name of our watch will appear as well as a message indicating that the device is connected via Bluetooth. Next to this message, there will be a menu with three dots.
  • You guessed it. Select this menu and click on the “Take a screenshot of the watch” option.
  • Once the screenshot is taken, we will receive a notification on our Android phone. If we click on this notification, we can edit the image, share it or save it wherever we want.

In this easy and simple way, we will have managed to take a screenshot of our smartwatch. Smartwatches are becoming the most popular accessories of the moment so if any of you still do not know which model to buy, we leave you with the 11 best devices that can be purchased at this time. Any of them is a great choice, we guarantee it.
