Xiaomi will include a Performance Mode in upcoming versions of MIUI: Here’s what it does

MIUI ‘beta’ versions are already testing a new high-performance mode perfect for playing with your Xiaomi smartphone, and this is all we know about it for now.

It seems that Xiaomi continues to test important improvements for MIUI, as from China already showed us a few weeks ago its new virtual RAM system that recently debuted on the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, to now anticipate us in the mouth of GizmoChina a new ‘Performance Mode’ that would arrive to offer to the user’s liking the maximum power of the mobile.

The option seems to be still in the development phase, as it has been added to MIUI Beta without too many details yet about its implementation, and in fact, is that the informant Kacper Skrzypek claims on his Twitter that it does not even work no matter how much the selector is already available in the settings.

This is a feature born in the MIUI Pioneer Group, where the Haidian giant shares feedback to improve MIUI with its users, something that has been confirmed by those responsible for Xiaomi’s proprietary firmware.

In any case, it is only confirmed that the development team of the Chinese giant is working on it and that it would be a mode that will allow squeezing the maximum power of the devices to play or perform heavy tasks, obviously at the expense of energy consumption and autonomy, something similar to the gaming modes already implemented by many manufacturers but being able to activate it for any need.

This new operating mode that will come to MIUI would be quite similar to the ‘boost gaming’ that many manufacturers already implement, but could be activated as needed for any task.

New "Performance mode" appeared in #MIUI (starting from beta 21.6.28). Unfortunately it works only in China ROM (not Global) and requires a special prop (so not all devices are supported). Enabled it for myself. pic.twitter.com/VaGSnxHdw9

The selector has appeared in build 21.6.28 of MIUI Beta, so if you are in the testing programs of the Xiaomi firmware you can surely update to check it. And if you want, and incidentally, let us participate in if certainly change anything or this mode does not yet work as we indicate.

Nor do we know if it will finally reach the stable versions or when it will be available, much less do we know if it will be available on all Xiaomi phones and in all countries, as it will probably be deployed first in the Chinese market and then expand to the rest of the world.
