Lenovo has presented in society the Legion Phone Duel 2 and as we expected it is a smartphone with high performance and a spectacular design.
The Legion Phone Duel 2 is a good example of a gaming phone based on an AMOLED multi-touch screen of almost 7 inches size with FDH+ resolution, HDR10+ support, and the highest refresh rates currently offered by the industry: 144Hz on the panel and 720Hz touch sampling.
It offers the highest performance of Qualcomm for this year, the Snapdragon 888 with eight-core Kyro 680 CPU (up to 2.84GHz) and the new Adreno 660 GPU that promises a 35% increase in graphics performance. The amount of memory is insane, well above the media installed in PCs and with versions that will reach up to 18GB. The internal storage is at the same level, up to 512GB of capacity with the fastest interface in cell phones, UFS 3.1.
The great power of the components needs a cooling system to match and Lenovo covers it on several levels. A passive cooling vapor chamber and also a Twin Turbo-Fan active cooling system. This is the first time it is mounted externally and is visible to the user that small fan in the center of the rear where the main camera is also located.
Cameras have also been improved with a retractable and motorized front camera with a 44MP Samsung sensor and a dual rear camera with two high-resolution sensors.
Another highlight comes from the battery. Or from the batteries to be precise because it mounts two on both sides of the SoC with 2750mAh for a total of 5,500mAh and 90W quick charging that allows a full charge in just 30 minutes. Quite a record, although there is a ‘trick’, two USB Type-C ports that allow to charge them simultaneously.
Completing an impressive configuration, talk about its stereo speakers and the four microphones with noise reduction technology, Dolby Atmos support with dual amplifier and that promises a great multimedia and gaming experience. The fingerprint sensor is under the screen and there is no lack of Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and of course 5G.
