IQOO, the sub-brand with gamer pretensions of Vivo, has just announced a new phone to strengthen its premium mid-range and in this article we will tell you its specs, price and release date. The new IQOO Z3 arrives with Snapdragon 768G heart and a price, in exchange, adjusted.

The IQOO Z3 stands out for its LCD screen that reaches 120Hz refresh rate -and 180Hz touch response- as well as for its cameras and support for 55W fast charging. Let’s see what this new model has to offer.

Vivo has decided to skip number two directly, moving from the last IQOO Z1x to the IQOO Z3. The essence of the phone is similar and also the appearance – if we disregard that it now has a notch and no perforation – but almost all its components have been improved.

The IQOO Z3 incorporates a 6.58 inches LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution. The refresh rate reaches 120Hz, while the touch response goes up to 180Hz.

This time, Vivo bets on the centered notch instead of mounting the perforated front camera on the screen as in the previous Z1s. This front camera has a resolution of 16MP and an f/2.0 aperture. The fingerprint reader is on the side.

The rear camera has three sensors in total, of which the main one has a resolution of 64MP and f/1.79 aperture. There is also an 8MP wide-angle and a third macro sensor with a 2MP resolution.

Snapdragon 768G and quick charging

If the IQOO Z1x had a Snapdragon 765G, the IQOO Z3 ups the ante slightly to the Snapdragon 768G. We again have variants with 6 and 8GB RAM and storage, expandable via MicroSD, available in two flavors: 128 or 256GB.

Another improvement of the IQOO Z3 over the previous generation is in the battery. Its capacity has dropped a bit, being now 4,400mAh, although in return it charges quite a bit faster. It supports 55W quıick charging.

The Vivo IQOO Z3 has been officially announced in China, where it is now available for pre-order in black, blue, and purple colors with a gradient effect. It is available in three RAM and storage combinations.

  • 6+128GB IQOO Z3: 1,699 yuan, about $259
  • 8+128GB IQOO Z3: 1,799 yuan, about $275
