HP has presented new Envy 2021 laptops with AMD and Intel CPUs and today we are going to talk about their specs, price, and release date. These laptops aimed at premium consumers are also focused on sustainability with recycled aluminum chassis, post-consumer and ocean-bound recycled plastics, and packaging that uses wood fibers from recycled materials and no single-use plastic of any kind.

HP Envy 2021 specs

Three new models have been announced by the company. There’s a convertible in two different versions depending on the hardware they use (AMD or Intel) and there’s a large laptop focused on content creation, although they can be used for casual purposes too.

Envy x360 15 has a 15.6-inch multi-touch screen with two options: one with an LCD panel + FHD resolution and one with an OLED panel + 4K resolution. Like all HP x360s, it has a hinge system to rotate the screen up to 360 degrees.

It includes a stylus holder that can be magnetically attached to the side of the device.

Its bezels have been reduced to offer an 89% screen-to-body ratio. It includes a stylus holder that can be magnetically attached to the side of the device. It has a DDR4 3200MHz RAM and PCIe solid state drives for internal storage. NVIDIA‘s dedicated GeForce MX450 is chosen for this model.

It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, and has USB Type A, Type C, and HDMI video output ports. Its keyboard is backlit and the stereo speakers are designed by Bang & Olufsen. It includes a fingerprint reader and a 720p webcam with privacy shutter. It has a 51Wh battery and comes with a 65W power adapter in the two versions mentioned above:

  • AMD version: Different latest generation Ryzen Mobile processors up to Ryzen 7 5800U.
  • Intel version: Different 11th generation processors up to Core i7-1165G7.

(The two versions are practically identical except for the Thunderbolt port included in the Intel version).

HP Envy 17 is the big brother of the series with a 17.3-inch screen. Again, you can choose between FHD or LCD panels with 4K resolution. Thanks to its size there are more ports than the convertible in addition to a larger battery.

The new Envy 2021 series come with Windows 10 pre-installed and are offered with two color options: Natural Silver or Nightfall Black. They are available now in the US at the HP Store and retailers such as Best Buy with the following prices:
