A smoother screen and a more colorful design

Dressed in a striking purple and blue colors, or a soberer black and white, the Galaxy A72 introduces renewed aesthetic lines compared to the previous generation, which now follows the path of models such as the Galaxy A32 5G.

Thus, we are talking about a phone in which straight lines take over the chassis, and where the rear module responsible for housing the cameras tries to go somewhat more unnoticed than in other phones of the company.

We are talking about a large device, more than 16 centimeters high, due to the use of a large 6.7-inch diagonal screen.

This screen is based on SuperAMOLED technology and has a Full HD+ resolution. Also, it introduces an important change compared to the last generation as it is the use of 90Hz refresh rate, which promises to offer a smoother experience when using the device.

Another interesting new feature is the IP67 certification, which guarantees the water-resistance of the device. Other important design features include a 3.5mm headphone port, stereo speakers, and a fingerprint reader integrated directly into the display.

Telephoto camera returns to the Galaxy A series

Samsung has listened to its community and, this year has decided to give the Galaxy A72 camera system addition that many had missed in past generations.

We are talking, of course, about the telephoto sensor with optical zoom, which replaces the depth camera and allows you to capture images with up to 3x magnification without losing quality. Also, the optical stabilizer will help prevent blurred or blurred photos.

This sensor is supported by a 64MP main camera and a 12MP camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There is also a 5MP macro sensor.

On the front, there are not too many changes, as we again have a 32MP camera, integrated into the hole in the screen with which the device has.

Qualcomm SoC and a huge battery

As in the Galaxy A52, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor is responsible for giving life to this Galaxy A72. This implies that we do not have 5G connectivity. It is unknown whether there will be a variant of the Galaxy A72 with this connectivity.

In any case, it will be possible to choose between two different configurations, with 6 or 8GB RAM and 128 or 256GB storage, the latter expandable via microSD card.

Another of the phone’s strong points is the battery, as the 5,000 mAh capacity ensures a two-day battery life. Also, when the time comes to go through the charger, we will have 25W fast charging, and the charger will be included in the box.

All of the above is supported by Android 11, in its version customized by One UI 3.1. Also, both this device and the Galaxy A52 are part of the collection of Samsung handsets that will receive three years of system updates and four years of security updates.
