HTC Wildfire E3: Entry-level with Helio P22, quad-camera, and low cost. HTC continues to fill its catalog of “simple” mobiles with affordable prices, at least in regions like Russia. After HTC Wildfire E2 from August last year comes the new HTC Wildfire E3, similar, but with better specs in some aspects.
The HTC Wildfire E3 is a new entry-level handset with a 6.5-inch display and 4,000mAh battery that, this time around, goes for a four-lens camera. The company calls it a “stylish flagship”, although it includes the modest MediaTek Helio P22 inside.

An entry-level model with a quad-camera
The HTC Wildfire E3 is presented as a slightly superior model to last year’s HTC Wildfire, although it repeats a good part of the features, including having the modest MediaTek Helio P22 inside. The memory configurations are, once again, 4GB RAM and 64 or 128GB storage, depending on the version.
The phone, however, has grown somewhat in size, with dimensions of 165.7 x 76.57 x 9mm, being somewhat more forceful. Much of the blame lies with the screen, LCD and that raises the diagonal to 6.5 inches. The resolution is HD+.
The biggest improvement in the HTC Wildfire E3 is in the cameras. While in the HTC Wildfire E2 we were dealing with a dual 16+2MP combination, the HTC Wildfire E3 has a four-lens camera. It’s a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP portrait mode sensor. Less resolution on the main sensor, but more versatility.
In front, the shooter for selfies has a resolution of 13MP and is again incorporated in a drop-shaped notch, centered. As is logical in its range, the HTC Wildfire E3 has a front design with some “chin” at the bottom.
As for the battery, we have a capacity of 4,000mAh that does not have any kind of fast charging -that is, it charges at the usual 10W- but at least it incorporates the USB-C connector. The phone incorporates the fingerprint reader on the back.
HTC Wildfire E3 price and release date
The HTC Wildfire E3 has been announced for the moment in Russia, where for the moment no other phones in the series have been released. Its starting price starts around $200, although we do not yet have the exact prices for the two variants. The handset is available in blue and black.
