Just 6 months after Huawei presented its most advanced wireless headphones to date, the FreeBuds Pro, there is a new model called FreeBuds 4i, and today we are going to talk about its specs, price, and release date. The Chinese firm has announced the renewal of its true wireless headphones line with this new device. It is a model that relies on a lighter design, active noise cancellation and a longer autonomy.
Huawei’s main intention in designing these headphones was to improve the features and performance of the FreeBuds 3i. It seems that it has successfully achieved this, as these FreeBuds 4i double the autonomy of the previous model without affecting the design, as the charging box and the headphones themselves have a smaller size. This is just the beginning of everything you need to know about the new Huawei FreeBuds 4i because there is much more.
Huawei FreeBuds 4i specs
We can clearly say the design is more refined than the Huawei FreeBuds 3i. The firm has reduced the size of the headphones to make them fit better into the ear without affecting the grip. In addition, they offer three different-sized silicone tips so you can choose the one that suits you best.
Huawei has also modified the appearance of the charging case, which now has an egg shape and smaller dimensions that make it easier to carry in any pocket. By the way, the FreeBuds 4i is available in three colors: charcoal black, ceramic white, and red.
FreeBuds 4i has active noise cancellation (ANC), which allows the user to get away from the outside world. According to data from the Chinese firm, the ANC system of this model covers 99% of common scenarios, such as shopping malls and public transport.
In terms of sound quality, the FreeBuds 4i features 10mm dynamic drivers that provide a balanced sound, with clear vocals and powerful bass.
Thanks to a 55mAh battery, Huawei FreeBuds 4i can reach up to 10 hours of continuous playback, 7.5 hours if used with noise cancellation activated.
The charging case, with a 215mAh battery, can extend that battery life up to 22 hours. In addition, it is worth mentioning that this case features fast charging. A single 10-minute charge will extend the life of the headphones up to 4 hours.
The FreeBuds 4i also features a gesture control system with which you can play or stop music, answer or hang up calls and also enable or disable noise cancellation. To improve touch accuracy, the headphones feature an accidental touch prevention algorithm. It supports Bluetooth 5.2 too.
