Xiaomi introduced Mi 10S, so the fantastic Mi 10 is back with more speed, and a lot cheaper now, here is its specs, price and release date.

Xiaomi leaped to the highest range worldwide last year with the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. These phones stood out for raising the price several notches but also improved in terms of quality what Xiaomi was able to offer in mobile without any concessions. These phones became so good that Xiaomi will continue to build on their prestige with the new Xiaomi Mi 10S.

The new Xiaomi Mi 10S is not as special a phone as the Mi 11 has been in terms of innovation, as it is essentially the same Xiaomi Mi 10 that we met last year with minor changes to maintain its appeal.

Xiaomi Mi 10S: What’s new?

If you remember the analysis of the Xiaomi Mi 10 was a mobile that we liked and that its only factor that left us with doubts ended up being the price increase. Xiaomi they are willing to continue selling this mobile and have made a renewal of last year’s entry flagship.

We find ourselves with a phone that has the same spectacular screen and Harman Kardon speakers, camera and battery configuration, as well as the same fast-charging technologies, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The technical specifications are virtually identical to its predecessor with one exception.

This model features the Snapdragon 870 processor instead of the 865 that the 2020 flagship had. The Snapdragon 870 is a chip that is slightly faster than the 865+ which in turn was slightly faster than the 865. The improvements between one chip and the other are not too striking either, as all three models feature the same internal architecture.

The other change doesn’t even affect the user experience. The camera module gives more prominence to the sensors and the color palette takes the style of the Mi 11, which makes the back look visually more attractive. The Mi 10 was quite comfortable with its curves and the Mi 10S retains them, so all in order.

Xiaomi Mi 10S price and release date

We have no charger in the box, although we also appreciate a price drop compared to the price that the Mi 10 had last year. We have three models with the following prices:

  • Xiaomi Mi 10S 8 / 128GB: 3299 yuan, about $506
  • Xiaomi Mi 10S 8 / 256GB: 3499 yuan, about $537
  • Xiaomi Mi 10S 12 / 256GB: 3799 yuan, about $583

At this time we do not know if this mobile will arrive worldwide, although if it ends up arriving the most possible is that the most basic model would end up arriving at an approximate price of $600, a price that would position it as one of the best premium phones in quality/price ratio.
