Inside, the device has a 1/2.3-inch image sensor, which is not bad at all and it is capable of recording 3K videos and taking 9MP photos.

Insta360 GO 2 measures 52.9 x 23.6 x 20.7mm and weighs only 26.5 grams. In fact, it’s small enough to store in a case and recharge its battery on the go, just like a true wireless headphone. There’s a magnet on the back that, combined with the magnetic pendant, allows you to wear the camera on your shirt, but with other accessories, you can put it just about anywhere.

The Insta360 GO 2 is IPX8 waterproof and can be submerged up to four meters. The lens is protected by a scratch-proof hardened glass. In fact, it can be removed and replaced with an ND filter to improve taking pictures under bright light. The case, meanwhile, functions as a remote control, tripod and handgrip, has 1/4 thread, and connects to the camera via Bluetooth.

Insta360’s new camera has a 1/2.3-inch image sensor, which is the same as the GoPro Hero 9 Black. Stabilization is left to FlowState algorithms and horizon leveling that the company has already implemented in other cameras. The lens has an ultra-wide-angle field of view up to 120º, although there is a choice of four different fields of view.

You can almost put it anywhere thanks to the accessories.

In terms of autonomy, Insta360 claims that its camera, which has 210 mAh, is capable of recording up to 150 minutes on a single charge. The charging case mounts a 1,110mAh battery and it is capable of charging the camera to full in half an hour, the company claims. Charging the case fully will take about an hour.

Finally, let’s talk about the app. One of the things that characterize Insta360 cameras is its app, which not only allows you to preview in real-time but it has an artificial intelligence technology called FlashCut 2.0 that edits clips automatically. We can choose from several thematic templates (sports, travel…) and let the app take care of choosing the best moments.

Insta360 GO 2 release date and price

Insta360 GO 2 is available from now and you can buy it through the company’s website and other distributors. It has a $299 price tag. The camera, charging case, magnetic pendant, adjustment clip, swivel mount, and lens protector are included in the box.
