Xiaomi continues to bet on MIUI 12.5 and there’s a new list on the internet showing smartphones that are getting this update. It’s a quarterly distribution schedule of MIUI 12.5.

Yesterday a list appeared on the internet with a good number of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco phones, which should receive the new user interface of the brand this year. It is not 100% official information but it is in line with what was promised by the firm.

Which Xiaomi smartphones will receive MIUI 12.5?

As you can see in the screenshot, the first phones to be updated, in addition to the Xiaomi Mi 1.1 will be the high-end model launched on the market last year like Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, as well as the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro. These 5 models would be updated throughout the second quarter of the year starting next April 1.

By the end of the semester, i.e. by June, the global version of MIUI 12.5 is expected to land on other models launched on the market also over the past year like Mi 10 Lite 5G, the Mi 10T Lite, the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro as well as the Mi Note 10 Lite. From Redmi Redmi Note 9T and the entire Redmi Note 9 family should receive the update in addition to Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi 9. Finally, some Poco phones should be the next ones like Poco F2 Pro and the Poco X3 NFC.

There’s a second leak but we have doubts

Many, but many more doubts there are regarding the second leak. Not because of the diversity of sources that appear in it, but because models such as the Xiaomi Mi A3 appear, which obviously runs Android One and not MIUI, so it will never receive MIUI 12.5.

Even so, if we take it for valid, it is good to know that phones like the BlackShark 3, the BlackShark 2, Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9 Lite, Mi 9 Pro, Redmi 9A, and other models launched some time ago, would also receive MIUI 12.5 throughout 2021.
