OPPO Reno5 F: The most modest Reno boasts 32MP selfies and a 30W fast charge. OPPO continues to expand the fifth generation of its Reno range. The OPPO Reno5 5G, Pro 5G, and Pro+ 5G announced in December were followed a few days later by a 4G version of the most modest of them all. Now, we have met another phone that is one step below the latter: The OPPO Reno5 F.
This new handset, which comes to succeed last year’s OPPO Reno4 F, has been officially announced in Kenya, although it will go on sale there next March. Among other features, OPPO’s latest offering includes a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and a quad rear camera.

Fewer cameras but more battery
The OPPO Reno5 F again opts for a perforated AMOLED display, but unlike its predecessor, that hole is now smaller because its front camera instead of incorporating two sensors, has a single 32MP sensor. Also, the panel has FullHD+ resolution and a size of 6.4 inches.
OPPO has not revealed the processor but has confirmed that the Reno5 F includes 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, as well as the ColorOS 11.1 operating system based on Android 11. For power, it has a 4,310mAh battery compatible with the VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 30W quick-charging system.
As for the rear camera, it comes supported by artificial intelligence and consists of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle, a 2MP monochrome sensor for portraits, and a fourth 2MP sensor for macro photography. We also know that, at the bottom, it features a USB-C port and a headphone jack.
OPPO Reno5 F price and release date
As we were saying, the OPPO Reno5 F has been officially announced in Kenya, where it will go on sale next March 22 (although it can already be reserved). It will be marketed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage at a price of 31,999 Kenyan shillings, which is equivalent to about $291 at the current exchange rate. It will be available in two different colors: Fluid Black and Fantastic Purple.
