Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro could be the big disappointment of the year.
It’s been a long time since we heard from Xiaomi’s gaming wing. Black Shark phones, a brand owned by the Chinese manufacturer, are among the most prominent gaming devices on the market, and we all expect the successors to the Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro to arrive sooner rather than later in stores.
Today we can say that the upcoming Black Shark 4 will be released soon as the alleged Black Shark 4 Pro codenamed Penrose and model number PSR-AO has sneaked into the Google Play Console listing, revealing some of its more than possible features. This comes barely a month after the first Black Shark 4 appeared on the same Google Play Console back in January.
Black Shark 4 Pro possible specs
The listing reveals that the Black Shark 4 Pro, unfortunately, would not be much different from last year’s models as they will star the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, and not the 888 as many of us might expect. Also, the base variant has been listed with the Snapdragon 835, a processor from several years ago that e does not seem to make much sense that it will star in Xiaomi’s new gaming option.
Other details in the Google Play listing reveal 12GB RAM and Android 11 operating system. Beyond this new version of the operating system, it is not that they are major differences compared to the current top of the range of the firm so we do not end up believing too much what appears in the Google listing, or rather it is a mistake.
Other leaked specifications for the Black Shark 4 Pro speak of a screen with perforation for the camera with an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 px and an aspect ratio of 20:9. In addition to having the classic volume buttons, the right profile could include additional buttons that could be configured at our whim to play.
There are still many other details of Xiaomi’s mobile to be discovered, such as its display technology, camera specifications, or the device’s battery, although in the past different rumors have been published suggesting that the Black Shark 4 series could have the fastest charge in the world.
Be that as it may, we will not be able to confirm or deny anything until the firm presents its new smartphones to play with, we assume before the end of this first quarter of the year.
