The pace of Realme is unstoppable and can still overtake Xiaomi
The CEO of the company, Xu Qi, has shared a Counterpoint report regarding mobile sales in the last quarter of last year where his company is placed in a creditable seventh place.
The most relevant data that can be extracted from this report is that Realme’s year-on-year growth is 80%, as it has gone from selling 7.8 million units in the last quarter of 2019 to selling 14 million units in the same period last year, thus becoming the fastest growing manufacturer in the entire history of cell phones.
The company is a subsidiary company of the BBK Electronics group, of which OnePlus, OPPO and Vivo are also part, which was born in 2018 to stand up to Xiaomi in the lower-middle range and everything seems to indicate that, if it continues in this line, it will not only match it but may even surpass it in a short period of time.
