There are already 1 billion iPhones in use worldwide. Apple has experienced remarkable growth in earnings and number of active users during the first quarter of 2021 as they have achieved revenues of $11.4 billion and reached the 1 billion active iPhone customers mark.
Apple ended 2020 on a high note
As GSMArena tells us, Apple has issued a press release in which they reveal the results of the first fiscal quarter of this year. These data reflect everything that the company has achieved during the last quarter of 2020. We must highlight two really important milestones: The first is that it achieved revenues of more than 1 billion dollars and the second is that it managed to reach 1 billion iPhone users in the world.
Apple achieved a substantial improvement over last year’s data since this year ended the quarter with revenues of 111.44 billion dollars with profits of 28.6 billion dollars while 2020 ended with 91.8 billion dollars in revenues with profits of 22.2 billion dollars.
Apple achieved these excellent figures thanks to the launch of the iPhone 12 with 5G that led many current users of older models to decide to change them for this one and thanks to an increase in sales of this terminal in China reaching the figure of 1,650 million active devices, of which 1 billion correspond to owners of an iPhone.

Another reason for this improvement is the increase in Mac and iPad sales thanks to the release of the new iPad Air and the new Macbook and Mac Mini with the new M1 processor and thanks to the current situation in which many people are working and studying from home.
Apple has managed to create a closed ecosystem through which it has managed to make its customers the most loyal in the world since virtually all its users have more than one product of the American manufacturer and even a large majority are owners of an iPhone, an iPad, a Macbook or Mac Mini and Airpods.
