Google Play releases a new hidden mini-game called Hot Air Balloon and today we are going to show you how to play it. We knew about its existence but now it seems to be active for everyone.
If you have Google Play on your mobile, you also have a little hidden game where you must manage a hot air balloon in its constant ascent to the skies, collecting coins and dodging obstacles. Just keep reading to activate it.
How to play the hidden mini-game of Google Play: Hot Air Balloon
If you want to play this game you should turn off your internet connection, you can do it by entering airplane mode or by manually disabling Wi-Fi.
Then, open Google Play, where you will see a notice that says “You’re offline.” Just below, a new section appears that wasn’t there before: Play while you wait.
Google Play shows you today three games to choose from, these are Hot Air Balloon, Solitaire, and Snake. The first one is the Easter egg included within Google Play, while the other two are borrowed from Google Play Games.
If you’ve followed all steps but don’t get the Play section while you wait, you may have an older version of Google Play. A good way to force this easter egg to show up for you is to update to a newer version of the Play Store.
Make sure you have an updated version of Google Play, you can always download the latest version. Summary of the steps:
- Disconnect the mobile from the Internet (you can activate airplane mode).
- Open Google Play.
- Under the section called “Play while you wait”, tap on the Play button next to the Hot Air Balloon.
