Nvidia silently announced its GeForce GT 1010, the successor to the GT 710, which was launched in 2016.
Nvidia made without any announcement the launch of a new low-end graphics card, we are talking about the GeForce GT 1010, the direct successor of a GeForce GT 710 launched in January 2016, and unfortunately, nothing changes, and this means that its performance is so low that several current integrated GPUs outperform it.
GeForce GT 1010 specs
Of this GPU, only 256 CUDA Cores under the Pascal architecture with a silicon GP108 manufactured by Samsung to a manufacturing process of 14nm is known. The specifications continue with 24 TMUs and 16 ROPs at a Base/Turbo frequency of 1228/1468 MHz along with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory @ 5 GHz which with a 64-bit memory interface gives us a bandwidth of 40.10 GB/s, and all this translates into a very low performance of 1,127 FP32 GFLOPs, there being a large number of smartphones with more powerful graphics.
The reason for the existence of the Nvidia GeForce GT 1010 is unknown, since its performance, as we said, is even lower than a great variety of current integrated graphics, so we will surely be able to see it in some pre-assembled computers given the circumstances.
