Sony revealed VISION-S electric car at CES 2021, they showed us a road testing video. CES 2021 kicked off this week in Las Vegas virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The road tests were carried out in Austria in December 2020. There are no further details, except for the video presented by Kenichiro Yoshida, CEO of Sony.

Sony says it will continue to further develop the vehicle, and plans to conduct driving tests in other regions as well going forward.
The highlights, on the part of the Japanese company, is the strengthening of security, entertainment, and adaptability.
The main features of Sony VISION-S prototype
In October last year, the VISION-S prototype received the Red Dot Award for its design.
According to data shown at the time, the electric car has 33 sensors, including CMOS image and ToF sensors. All are integrated into the vehicle to detect and recognize people and objects inside and outside.
The VISION-S also provides a deep and immersive audio experience with speakers at each seat.
This prototype is designed with an oval-shaped concept to symbolize the experience of full 360-degree immersion.
This is the first car prototype of the company and it looks outstanding in the road testing video. We don’t know when SONY VISION-S will be on road, we’ll keep you informed.
