Microsoft said in a blogpost that Edge browser has already reached 600 million users. Obviously, the move they made by passing to Chromium was the right one.

- Microsoft is testing Voice Launcher feature for Windows 10
- You can access iCloud now on a mobile browser in Android or iOS
This is something that is being reflected in its number of users, in a market where Google Chrome continues to be at the top by a lot of difference, Microsoft’s browser has been making a significant gap leaving behind the rest of the alternatives such as Firefox, Safari and other browsers based on Chromium, and according to the company Edge already has 600 million users.
Edge has 600 million users
Microsoft has recently published a job offer in which they are looking for a software engineer for the browser.
It is available not only on Windows but also on macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. The company has not only been promoting it more aggressively than the classic version but has extended its support beyond Windows 10.
“Microsoft Edge declared a while back that it will be making the web better through more open source collaboration while Edge promises to continue to enable customers to do more. With the general availability it has already reached 600 million customers and is taking a fresh approach to browsing by putting the end user at the center and meeting the user where they are, shipping on Windows 10, down level Windows, Mac and Android,” the company stated.
