CES 2021 will start on January 11th and LG Display will present a bendable OLED gaming monitor at the event. It does not sound really interesting at first, but you have to know that it is capable of changing from flat to curved format.
You’ll be able to work or watch any kind of multimedia content in flat screen mode and with just the press of a button, the monitor will be transformed into a curved screen to improve the immersive experience in games, without affecting the quality of the image.

LG Display is bringing a bendable OLED gaming monitor
However, it should be noted that this is not the first time that LG has introduced a product under a similar technology, last year they demonstrated a 65-inch bendable TV screen.

What’s new this time is the “CSO” (Cinematic Sound OLED) technology, which allows this monitor to reduce its thickness to just 0.6 millimeters, in addition to creating a small space under the screen that turns the entire OLED panel into a speaker. The audio coming directly from the screen improves the experience when you are playing a video game with great quality.
So, the company has also made clear that this new bendable OLED gaming monitor will have a variable refresh rate from 40Hz to 120Hz. It will easily meet the needs of a large majority of the gamer audience. Although there are already other models capable of up to 360Hz refresh rate. But these models don’t have the capability to transform into a curved screen. Instead, they are usually focused on a flat panel format. CES 2021 will be an online event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ll be looking forward to other news.
