Huawei’s newest top-of-the-line smartphone, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+, has shown itself in DxOMark’s analysis and with no surprises in between, it’s already the new king of the photo section, a title held by its little brother, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ offers a five-fold rear camera configuration in the form of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, two 12 + 8-megapixel telephoto lenses, and a depth sensor (ToF 3D) along with a multispectral color temperature sensor.
All of this together gives us a photographic quality valued at 139 points out of an average of 144 points in the photographic section, 98 points in the zoom of, and 115 points in the video (4K @ 60 FPS). Thus surpassing the Huawei Mate 40 Pro with an average of 136 points (140/88/116) and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra with 133 points (136/101/110).

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ features good color and white balance in bright light and indoors, excellent image detail in most conditions, fast and consistent autofocus in most situations, wide dynamic range, and good texture/noise in night shots and under bright or indoor conditions. To improve, the shallow depth of field with occasional short-distance focus failure.
