The shooting of the new Resident Evil reboot film is still going on and new images of the sets are coming from there.
Although Hollywood studios are most careful these days is the secrecy of their productions, for marketing purposes they break their own rule and release information as it suits them. Also it is harder when shooting on location and with fans having smartphones out and shooting them.
This is precisely what is happening to Resident Evil’s reboot during its filming in Ontario, Canada, from where every week new images of the film set arrive. Of course this is very good for the fans of the video game franchise but, also reveals almost all the secrets of the film directed by Johannes Roberts.
In the new images coming directly from the Resident Evil shooting set, we can see photographs of Spencer’s mansion as well as a S.T.A.R.S. helicopter belonging to the Raccoon City police department in a rather pitiful state.
In addition, the same Twitter account that has published these images has also shared several photographs of Emmy’s Dinner, the cafe where Claire is during the scene that opens the Reident Evil 2 Remake video game, making it clear that this new film will try to be as faithful as possible to this game.
With a cast led by Kaya Scodelario and Robbie Amell, this new Resident Evil film, which aims to give a new start to the franchise in the cinema, will be released sometime in 2022, as it still has no estimated release date.
