Google brings Gmail widget to iOS 14. Gmail is one of the world’s most widely used email clients and has its own separate app for the iPhone and iPad. Google has just released an official update incorporating one of the main new features of iOS 14: widgets.

Although it is not announced as one of the new features in the update data, version 6.0.201101 already available in the App Store incorporates this new widget. From now on, we will be able to use this widget on the home screen of our device.

  • How to know the warranty status of your iPhone or iPad?

Google has been one of the first to update their applications for the new iOS 14 widgets. Apps such as Google Photos or Google’s own Search app already have their widget available. And the new Gmail widget is very similar.

To add this widget you just have to download the app and follow the normal process to add a widget. The new Gmail widget is only available, at least for now, in the intermediate size.

What can you do with this widget? These are the three main features of the Gmail widget:

  1. Search in the mail: In the top zone, we have a search field to quickly find a mail.
  2. Compose: By clicking here we will begin to write a mail quickly.
  3. Received mails: When we receive a mail, a notification will appear here.

This is a widget that can be very useful, especially if we frequently use Gmail on our iPhone. In addition, it may be updated with new widget sizes over time.

Google brings Gmail widget to iOS 14. Little by little the widgets are getting better and new things are coming, it’s amazing what developers come up with. I’m sure that as the weeks go by, excellent widgets like this one will arrive.
