Crysis Next will be a free battle royale developed on the Cryengine. After the arrival of the Crysis Remastered, it seems like Crytek is now planning to return to the scene with its star franchise, “Crysis Next”. Some leaks indicate that the company has recently published a list of jobs on its official website, looking for the incorporation of personnel for the development of a new AAA title which is currently under development.

  • Crysis Remastered will have ray tracing on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro
  • Cyberpunk 2077 release date is delayed once again
  • PS5: Sony reveals all the details about PlayStation Plus

However, although it has already been confirmed that it will be an FPS developed on the Cryengine graphic engine, it is very possible that die-hard fans will not like it.

The description of the work can be read: “Crysis Next is a free battle royale game where hundreds of players collide in fast-paced combat. Visual customization, adaptive powers of the Nanosuit, and visually spectacular combat in an immersive world create the ultimate live streaming experience.” “The Crysis franchise has all the characteristics to make a Battle Royale stand out: the gameplay, the style and setting, and the high production value.”

While few of us would have been able to predict that the Crysis franchise, an exponent of the FPS genre for a player, would take the turn of electronic sports, the timing certainly seems to be quite right. With the recently announced new generation of NVIDIA RTX 30 and AMD 6000 graphics cards, with 16-core/32-threaded CPUs up to 5GHz and PCIe 4.0 storage at 7GB/s, a huge range of possibilities is truly opened up.

At the moment, no information has been revealed about when Crysis Next will arrive. It is clear that the game still has an important part of development left.

Crysis Next will be a free battle royale developed on the Cryengine. In fact, it is possible that the game will arrive under a different name. Crysis Next has not been the only new title that has appeared among these job offers, highlighting names such as “Ryse Next”, which could be the next chapter of Ryse: Son of Rome; Crysis VR, Hunt Mobile or Robinson 2. Unfortunately, the knowledge is limited, officials haven’t shared any additional information on this matter.
