The chassis of the new ZenBook 14 is reminiscent of those we’ve seen before as it is compact and has a sober design. Made of metal and with a matte finish, the laptop weighs 1.13 kilograms (slightly more than the Ultrathin) and has a profile of 13.9 millimeters.
The screen frames are quite thin and ASUS talks about a 90% front end usage, which would not be bad at all. When opened, the screen part is outside the box with the keyboard thanks to the ErgoLift hinge, which is designed to make typing more favorable and also to facilitate ventilation.
The screen of ASUS ZenBook 14 (UX425) is a 14-inch LED, with FullHD resolution and according to ASUS it only consumes one watt (this is available as an option). It has a new keyboard that makes good use of the surface and an infrared camera that allows logging in through Windows Hello.
11th generation Intel processors and up to 32 GB RAM
ASUS ZenBook 14 (UX425) uses the 11th generation Intel processors with the option of Core i3, i5 and i7, the graphics will come from the Intel Iris Xe or a UHD (the model with i3). RAM is up to 32GB and storage is provided by a PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD up to 1TB.
It also has Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) connectivity with WiFi Smart Connect and Bluetooth 5.0. And although it boasts thinness, it does not give up the most common ports, including HDMI, USB type A, Thunderbolt 4 USB-C and a micro-SD card reader.
It has a 67 Wh battery and the USB-C Easy Charge holder (so it can be charged with a wide range of standard chargers with this connection). The promise with this feature is 21 hours of autonomy per charge, which would allow in a way to forget about the plugs in a day of use.
In addition, it has ventilation profiles with which the user chooses whether to work in silence (and the lowest performance) or the opposite, and noise cancellation assisted by artificial intelligence. This is aimed at filtering out ambient noise so that the quality of audio in video conferences is better.
