Larger screen and blood-oxygen measurement feature

The Amazfit Bip U is a device finished in polycarbonate that inherits the design of the brand’s previous watches. Even though on the internet it appears in different colors, at the moment it only seems to be available in black. One thing that stands out is that it has similar dimensions to the Amazfit Bip S, but its screen is significantly larger, reaching 1.43 inches, something that seems to indicate a better use of the front.

Speaking of the screen, the Amazfit Bip U has a 1.43 inch TFT panel with 320 x 302 pixel resolution. Amazfit says that it is a 2.5D glass, ergo curved on the sides. This screen is designed with an anti-fingerprint coating system. We’ll have to wait and see how successful it behaves in daily usage.

However, the interesting thing is inside, as the Amazfit Bip U has an improved BioTrack 2 sensor. This sensor is capable of monitoring our heart rate, but also the level of oxygen in our blood, a function that we see more and more in smartwatches. It should be noted that this is not a medical device and the company states: “all data and measurement results are provided for reference only.”

Continuing with the sensors, Amazfit Bip U has a geomagnetic sensor and integrated GPS, but nothing is known about it. Be that as it may, the Amazfit Bip U is compatible with more than 60 types of sport and offers the PAI metric. To access that information you have to use the Zepp app, formerly known as Amazfit.
