The truth is that this is an idea that Netflix has been experimenting with over time. Previously in March 2019 they removed the free trial month. Netflix will probably try this new system worldwide.

Netflix will remove free first month trial. According to the Help Center, no free trials are available but now there will be convenient cancellation plans available instead. Netflix states that there is “total freedom to change plans or cancel online whenever you want if you decide Netflix isn’t for you.
Netflix’s price plans have not changed and remain as they were until now.
