Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus is leaving the company. OnePlus announced OnePlus 8T, it is a new high-end mobile that we will be able to buy in a few weeks. However, the company is in the news today for a very different reason: one of its founders, Carl Pei is leaving the company.

Carl Pei leaves OnePlus after 7 years
For those who did not know, Carl Pei is, along with Pete Lau, the entrepreneurial couple who founded OnePlus in China in 2013. Both have shared the role of the image of the company, although in recent years Pei was the one who had more relations with the press.
According to some rumors he has decided to leave the company, although there is no official statement yet. We will be looking forward to see official information on this subject, but they probably don’t want to draw attention from their new release Oneplus 8T.
Although there have been rumors that he might sign with Samsung (he himself joked about it a few years ago), it seems that his intention is to form another company, although we still don’t know anything about it.
We assume that it will be a technological startup, but it doesn’t seem easy to set up a new mobile phone manufacturer from scratch, as he did seven years ago.
Awaiting official confirmation
Carl Pei is leaving Oneplus. This information has not been confirmed by the company although it has been confirmed by nearby sources. It is very likely that they will wait for some time after the presentation of OnePlus 8T. It doesn’t seem like a good marketing strategy to take away the attention from a new product.
