Google Pixel 5 is presented at the online event that the search engine company has just held and we are going to talk about its specs, price and release date. We already knew a lot about the new Pixel 5 but today it is announced officially.

As we already expected, Google Pixel 5 will have 5G connectivity, a leap to the new generation of mobile networks. It would make no sense to present a “high-end” smartphone with no 5G connection in 2020. And we still don’t know if Apple’s iPhone 12 will or will not be compatible with the latest generation networks.

A new processor and 5G connection

Google Pixel 5 has a Snapdragon 765G processor, not the top-tier Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus, as expected. With this choice, they have opted for a balance between price and performance without giving up 5G connectivity.

The integrated Google Pixel 5 is supported by eight gigs of LPDDR4 RAM and, in terms of its storage capacity, it will have a single 128GB version. However, remember that Pixel 4 had two versions, one with 64GB storage and one with 128GB storage, so Google might present a version with 256GB later.

Google Pixel 5 has a 6” P-OLED panel with FHD + resolution screen. Google has opted for the perforated screen format to integrate its front camera, with 8MP resolution. And in the back, we find two cameras, a main 12.2MP camera and a 16MP wide-angle camera.

Google Pixel 5: Price and release date

So, without surprises, we can already confirm that Google Pixel 5 fits into the upper-mid-range segment. It will be available in several countries on October 15 for now with a $699 price tag. We talked about Google Pixel 5 specs, price and availability.
