Realme X7, X7 Pro and V3 comparison: which one is better?

Realme X7

The design of this Realme X7 and the V7 Pro is practically the same: the same mold for these two twins who inherit the showy rear with curvatures to the side. Being available in blue, white and multicolor, this last finish features the most exaggerated logos.

Realme X7 has a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), which according to the manufacturer occupies 90.8% of the front. It has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, remaining at the usual 60Hz in terms of refreshment.

The engine is run by the Dimensity 800U processor, a MediaTek processor for the mid-range that is somewhat lower in power than we will see for the Pro model. According to the RAM and storage memory there are two versions, with 6 or 8GB RAM, in both cases 128GB (UFS 2.1).

Speaking of the battery, the Realme X7 is left with a 4,300mAh battery, although what stands out is that it integrates the fast charging at 65W that we have been seeing in mobile phones of the brand since the Realme X50 Pro 5G

In terms of photographic capabilities, Realme X7 has four rear cameras:

• 64 megapixel sensor with an f / 1.8 aperture lens and 25.1 millimeter equivalent focal length.
• Wide angle with a field of view of 119 degrees and an aperture of f / 2.3, with an 8 megapixel sensor and a focal length of 15.7 millimeters.
• Monochrome sensor for portrait of 2 megapixels and lens with aperture f / 2.4.
• 2 megapixel sensor with macro lens with aperture f / 2.4 and minimum focus distance of 4 centimeters.

For its part, the front camera has a 32 megapixel sensor and a lens with f / 2.5 aperture and an 85-degree field of view.

Realme X7 Pro

Colorful aesthetics also for this new Realme X7 Pro, which in the style of the Realme 6 has a multicolored reflection on its back. The camera module is in a corner and the logos are at ease in this not discreet part, with the fingerprint reader on the screen.

In this case we see a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, with a contrast ratio of 6,000,000:1 and covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. A screen that occupies a large part of the front, having used the hole in it to insert the subjective camera.

In terms of processor, the Realme X7 Pro model integrates the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, which has the necessary modem to support 5G connectivity to compete in the upper-middle range. There are models with different memory configurations, having 6 + 128GB, 8 + 128GB or 8 + 256GB (UFS 2.1). In addition, it has a steam chamber cooling system.

All this is powered by a 4,500mAh battery, also with that 65W fast charge with which they promise a full charge in just half an hour.

Speaking of photography, Realme X7 Pro’s rear camera module we see four lenses with the following configuration:

• 64 megapixel sensor with an f / 1.8 aperture lens and a 26-millimeter equivalent focal length.
• Wide angle with a field of view of 119 degrees and an aperture of f / 2.25, with an 8 megapixel sensor and a focal length of 15.7 millimeters.
• Monochrome sensor for portrait of 2 megapixels and lens with aperture f / 2.4.
• 2 megapixel sensor with macro lens with aperture f / 2.4 and minimum focus distance of 4 centimeters.

The front camera is identical to that of the previous model, with a 32 megapixel sensor and the lens with f / 2.5 aperture. Of course, both this and the previous one have a new night recording mode in the rear camera to obtain better shots in low light.

Realme V3

In this case, Realme V3’s camera module is somewhat smaller, partly because it integrates three and not four. It is also in a corner and has a square shape, but the back is the one that integrates the fingerprint reader (it is not on the screen).

We also see changes in the front, with somewhat thicker frames (especially the chin) and notch. It is a 6.5-inch screen with HD + resolution (720 x 1,600 pixels), with an 88.7% use of the front according to the company. It is thus clear that this is the most modest of the three in terms of specifications, as we will also see in the choice of Realme V3’s processor.

In this case, the processor chosen is the Dimensity 720, the most basic for the mid-range with 5G from Mediatek. Although it remains in a tie in terms of maximum RAM, seeing configurations of 6GB + 46GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB (UFS 2.1).

Of course, it has a 5,000mAh battery, which exceeds the previous ones in capacity. Although the fast charge is less ambitious and powerful, remaining at 18W.

The Realme V3 integrates three cameras in the rear, partially preserving the usual scheme (and that we saw in the previous ones) but dispensing with the wide angle:

• 13 megapixels, with lens with 80 degree field of view and f / 2.2 aperture
• Monochrome sensor for portrait of 2 megapixels and lens with aperture f / 2.4.
• 2 megapixel sensor with macro lens with aperture f / 2.4 and minimum focus distance of 4 centimeters.

With the rear camera you can shoot up to 4K at 60 frames per second. The front camera has an 8 megapixel sensor with f 2.0 aperture.
