The Galaxy S20 FE is confirmed on the official website of Samsung Bulgaria and it will compete with Apple’s iPhone 12, cause they will reach the market on the same month, October 2020.
Take the design of the Galaxy S20, add a bit of the Note20, reduce some hardware features to lower and with the lower sale price and you have the Galaxy S20 FE: reduced variants of the regular range that you will recognize as the popular versions «Lite» from previous years. Only this time Samsung calls them Fan Edition.
Expected specs for Galaxy S20 FE
Galaxy S20 FE will be marketed in two versions, the standard one and the one intended to support 5G. The design is the one we have been handling, with a premium chassis, metal frame and glass on the front, a rear part reminiscent of the Note 20, IP68 certification against water and dust and dimensions of 161x73x8 mm thick.
It is believed that it will work with the mobile Snapdragon 865 chipset (and perhaps proprietary Exynos chipsets for some regions) paired with 6GB RAM. The storage section will be more than covered and will offer options of up to 512GB. It won’t support microSD memory cards and Galaxy S20 FEwon’t have the 3.5mm headphone jack either.
Its screen will be an AMOLED with a size in the surroundings of 6.4 inches diagonal, with FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Galaxy S20 FE will include a fingerprint sensor. S20 FE will have a 32 megapixels front cam.

The performance of the main camera will be close to that of the S20, with a triple sensor headed by a 12MP Sony IMX555, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
With Android 10 and its own OneUI 2.5 interface as the main software, Galaxy S20 FE will offer half a dozen color finishes. A sale price is rumored around $ 750 for the top version with 5G. The base version should be cheaper to separate from the regular S20s. It’s a euphemism to call these “cheap” mobiles, but that’s how the mobile industry goes. In any case, its performance will be much higher than that of a “cheap” smartphone.
