Samsung renews its commitment to wearables, and it does so with a Samsung Galaxy Watch3 that maintains the circular design, but returns one of the features that we most missed in these devices: the rotating bezel that marked a differential characteristic in these watches.
That is not the only highlight, of course. The new Samsung Galaxy Watch3 come in two versions of 41mm and 45mm case (1.2 and 1.4-inches screen sizes respectively) with more internal capacity than ever and with a focus (and especially a design) something different from the Active range, now much more focused on monitoring physical activity.

There are many interesting details about the new Samsung Galaxy Watch3 that comes armed to the teeth and that for example stands out for having 1GB RAM and 8GB storage capacity.
These options are joined by the NFC support, the GPS reception and, the 4G / LTE connectivity support to be able to give more independence to the watch and not have to use it on a mandatory basis paired with the mobile.

Stainless steel and titanium models with a rotating bezel
The new Galaxy Watch3 have a more resounding design than that of their predecessors, the Galaxy Watch Active 2. The circular design of the case remains —made of stainless steel, although there is a model with a case made of titanium—, but the bezel is more pronounced, as are the physical buttons on it.
We are dealing with a device that, although it maintains all the benefits of previous models when it comes to quantifying and monitoring our physical activity, is also clearly intended to be used as a watch for any type of situation, and its sizes of 41mm and 45mm are intended for both women as men who will also find two straps (one longer than 22mm wide and another shorter, 20mm wide) to fit anyone.
Yhe thickness of the 45mm model is slightly less than that of 41mm (11.1mm vs. 11.3mm), and here we find a rear with the 8-LED photoplethysmograph and rhythm sensor that are key elements of this monitoring of our health and physical activity.
However, what is probably most striking in the Galaxy Watch3 is the return of the rotating bezel that had been abandoned in previous models and that for a long time was one of the differential characteristics of Samsung smartwatches when it comes to controlling its Interface.
LTE allows to make and receive calls
The battery of these models (247mAh for the 41mm and 340mAh for the 45 mm model) is another key element of devices that inherit those that the Active 2 already had, but improvements in the software are expected. make the autonomy of these watches better than ever. At Samsung they talk about “multi-day battery life”, but that duration will be defined by our use of the device.
Monitoring physical activity remains a central focus of the Galaxy Watch3 despite the fact that its design makes it more elegant than ever. We will have reports and analyzes of our training sessions or automatic monitoring of those sessions without having to do anything.
During these sessions, heart rate, blood pressure, electrocardiogram function, blood oxygen levels and other parameters that help control effort will be monitored. Sleep monitoring is another option built into these devices.
Another of the most notable options of the watch is the inclusion of models (not all) with LTE connectivity, which will allow us to make and receive calls through the integrated microphone and speaker (or via Bluetooth headphones paired with the watch), but also send messages, receive notifications, or install new watch faces and apps without needing your phone and an external WiFi or mobile data connection.
