Samsung announced its new true wireless headphones called Galaxy Buds Live, which for the first time adds active noise cancellation. An extra that places these new headphones as rivals to the Airpods Pro or the Sony WF-1000XM3.
Code-named ‘Beans’, these Samsung headphones are the third generation of the Galaxy Buds, after the originals and the Buds+ model that we met earlier this year. The South Korean manufacturer has taken advantage of the presentation event of the new Galaxy Note20 to present its most advanced headphones.

AKG sound, noise cancellation and 12mm speakers
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live are characterized by their shape. As Samsung itself describes, “an iconic design with a comfortable fit that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen or worn before.”
Inside we find a 12-millimeter driver, considerably larger than usual in this type of wireless headphones. With this, Samsung promises sound with deeper bass.
Galaxy Buds Live sound is AKG signed and features open type active noise cancellation. Thanks to this, the user is able to disconnect from the world around him but at the same time it allows configuring if we want to be alert to warnings from outside. A very useful ambient mode on noise-canceling headphones.
The Galaxy Buds Live incorporates three microphones and a voice capture unit to improve the reception and sending of voice through calls. It is compatible with Bixby, IPX2 splash resistant and have Bluetooth 5.0.
To configure the headphones you can use its own application that allows to access an equalizer. Samsung also offers the ‘Find my Earbuds’ tool. As in other models, the Galaxy Buds Live will have a charging case in the same color as the headphones, with a battery indicator LED and a weight of 42.2 grams.
The headphones themselves has a 60mAh battery that promises about up to 5.5 hours of music playback. The charging case has 472mAh to extend this time up to 20 hours.
Versions and price of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live
The new Samsung Galaxy Buds Live will be available in three different colors: black, white and rose gold. Its official price will be 169.99 USD.
