A 3D render image showing new smartphone from Samsung, might be pointing Galaxy S20 Lite.

A few weeks ago the rumor of the possible existence of a Galaxy S20 Lite has appeared. Now a new leak comes to reinforce it, although here the phone has another name: Galaxy S20 FE. The “FE” was due to Fan Edition, a move similar to that made by Samsung with its Galaxy Note 7 FE years ago. Regardless of how the new Samsung smartphone finally ends up being called, let’s move on to see what the new product is about.

  • Samsung will announce Galaxy Note 20 at an online event
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 series might get 120Hz screen refresh rate
  • The leak confirms: It will be Samsung Galaxy S20 and here are the details…

This image may belong to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE or S20 Lite

In the render tweeted by Evan Blass, the front has a format with a few straighter corners than the current Galaxy S20. Or in any case, let’s say the phone is less curved. At the top edge there is a speaker for calls, which may also be a speaker.

The front camera perforated in the center-upper part has a diameter of 3.3 millimeters. Considering other rumors , this phone may carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. On the one hand, it is important to note that it would be the “common” Snapdragon 865 and not its Plus variant. Also, here there would be no versions with Exynos chipset, only bet on Qualcomm.

Thanks to that SoC, 5G connectivity would be guaranteed. The model number of the phone would be SM-G781. It would be available in several colors: Prism Blue, Prism White, Prism Violet, Prism Green, Prism Orange and Prism Red. And its battery capacity would be 4,500mAh.

  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra may have a 100x zoom camera
  • Samsung to launch antimicrobial coated cases for the Galaxy Note 20

Something that is not entirely clear is the rear camera. As an example, it is indicated that it will carry the sane setup with the standard Galaxy S20 without any modifications.

It is also believed that Samsung Galaxy S20 FE or S20 Lite would use the main Sony IMX555 sensor, 12MP and 12MP ultra-wide angle, again same with the S20. However, Samsung would annex 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom for this highly anticipated Galaxy Lite S20 or S20 FE. By the way, although its predecessor – the Galaxy S10 Lite – was made official earlier this year, it is not ruled out that its renewal could be revealed at the Unpacked event scheduled for August 5.
