Realme launched V5 5G, a new family with 90Hz display and 30W quick charge, here are new models’ specs, features and price.
Lately, Realme has focused on reinforcing its mid-range and entry-level range with three new models, Realme X3, C11 and C15. Last week, in addition to these models, the company announced its intentions to introduce a new family in its catalog, the Realme V series, whose first model would be the Realme V5 5G.

Today, in an event held in China, the Realme V5 5G has been officially launched and as expected, it is a mid-range 5G smartphone. It comes with MediaTek’s Dimensional 720 processor, a 90Hz display, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The first thing that stands out about this new phone is its 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with FullHD + resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), 20: 9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. This panel also has a 180Hz tactile sampling rate and boasts a 90.7% display to body ratio.
Inside, we have MediaTek’s Dimensional 720 processor, which guarantees its compatibility with 5G SA and NSA networks , and which is accompanied by two RAM options (6 and 8GB) and 128GB of expandable internal storage. It brings Realme UI based on Android 10, has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W quick charging.
When we look at cameras, there is a quad setup at the rear with a 48MP main sensor (f / 1.8), an 8MP f / 2.3 wide angle with a 119 degrees field of view, a third sensor that has 2MP f /2.4 for depth and a fourth, 2MP f / 2.4 sensor for macro photography capable of focusing at 4cm.
The front camera, meanwhile, is housed in the perforation of the screen and includes a 16MP sensor with f / 2.1 aperture. The rest of the important features are completed by a side fingerprint reader, a Hi-Res certified Dolby Atmos sound system and a splash resistant design with a smooth finish and reinforced protection at all four corners.
Realme V5 5G price and availability
The new Realme V5 5G has been unveiled in China, but it is unknown whether it will reach other countries. What we do know is that it is already available for reservation in three colors (silver with the logo of the back to the brand, blue and green) and in two configs with different RAMs:
Realme V5 5G 6G / 128GB : 1,499 yuan, which is equivalent to about 215 USD at the current exchange rate.
Realme V5 5G 8G / 128GB : 1,899 yuan, which is equivalent to about 270 USD at the current exchange rate.
